Like you want to relive that. It's 1:12 AM and Ben Roethlisberger just got sacked again.

No recap. I don't want to write it and you don't want to read it. The Steelers won't be in the postseason. They've lost to three of the worst teams in football in the past month. The next game is against Green Bay, a team hungry for the playoffs that's playing good football. Three games left. Let's just hope the Steelers can right the ship and win a few more.

That "outta-gas" look that the defense had in the 4th quarter of the early losses to Chi. and Cincy never went away. Two thoughts: 1) they're old. Hampton, Keisel, Kirschke, Farrior, Carter, Clark, Hoke, Smith (next year is #12) aren't the players they once were; 2) Polamalu (he of the breaking down body) once said that the Steeler defense isn't built to be on the field for long periods of the game -- they play so all-out, all the time, they can't do it. So, is the lack of a time-eating, run-oriented offense causing the defense to play more minutes than it's capable of? Is it both 1 & 2? Or is it #3? ______ (fill in the blank here).
