Are You Ready For Some Football?

Because it looks like the players and owners finally decided they are.

As of July 25th, 2011, the NFL is no longer experiencing a lockout and football will proceed as planned (minus the Hall of Fame game that you weren’t going to watch anyway). Here are the important dates so far:

Today at 6 PM (so like, by the time you read this) the NFL will have its official list of free agents.
Tuesday, players will enter team facilities for the first time since last season for regular team-facility business (training, conditioning, coach meetings, etc.)
Also on Tuesday, teams can begin negotiating with their incoming draft picks as well as league-wide free agents.
Friday at 6 PM, full free agency will begin and players can sign contracts with the teams they’ve negotiated with.

Steelers’ training camp at St. Vincent will open on Thursday.

This is going to be quite a week. We’ll do our best to keep up with the Steelers’ happenings and then get to the on-field talk once training camp gets rolling.
