He wasn’t Bus II, but I still think Russell can make a good running back in the NFL.
It wasn’t his fault that Kemoeatu was crapping all over himself every time Russell got a hand off. He also only got carries in short yardage situation which could make Jim Brown look lost.
With FWP, Moore, and Mendenhall, the Steelers should be more than set at running back, but it is hard to see a guy leave who is so young and has flashed some good potential. Hopefully he finds a situation where he can get some more carries elsewhere.
We won’t forget that bigtime plunge into the endzone at Super Bowl XLIII.
