Who knows how long this will stay up before some suit takes it down, but a user aptly named JoeGilliam17 uploaded an entire Steelers/Rams game from 1975 to YouTube and it is awesome.
The Steelers lose the game to the LA Rams 10-3, but it was entertaining to watch the ‘old’ NFL and see guys like Mel Blount and Franco Harris ball.
Interestingly enough, the starting QB for the Steelers in this contest was Joe Gilliam. Terry Bradshaw comes off the bench eventually, but both quarterbacks stunk. I’ll post the first portion of the game below for your viewing pleasure.
Some other interesting notes from the clips:
-Awesome announcing throughout.
-ESPN’s own Ron Jaworski scored the game’s only touchdown.
-Both teams were 12-2 at the time.
-Night game at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Great atmosphere.
