Only Myron “Boo” Bell until Steelers open training camp

The Pittsburgh Steelers will report to training camp in Latrobe on July 25, 2012 – only 40 days from today. We’re taking a quick look at current and former Steelers as we countdown to football.

Myron “Boo” Bell was a safety who had two separate stints in Pittsburgh. He started at strong safety for Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XXX.

Bell grew up in Toledo, Ohio and played college football at Michigan State. The Steelers selected him in the 5th round of the 1994 draft. Bell started on and off for the Steelers from 1994-1997 before signing with the Bengals as a free agent. He returned to the Steelers in 2000, though, which would be his last year in the NFL.

He currently coaches youth football with another former Steeler – Brenston Buckner – and still actively follows the Steelers

Here’s a promo video for one of their football camps. Kudos to him.
