Bam Morris Retires; Blitzburgh Blog Under New Management

Longtime owner/writer/editor Bam Morris has decided to hang up the ol' keyboard and retire from blogging to pursue real world stuff that matters.

I (Brian) am the new owner and CEO of Blitzburgh Blog. I can't really tell you what will change or where the blog is going, but I know I like football and I like to write about football, so I'm going to do that here. I also wanted to wait until the official offseason to announce this, since Superbowl talk (blah) obviously dominates football blogs up through early February.

I can't extend enough good wishes to Bam in his future endeavors. When I was just a scrub on blogspot looking for someone to talk to about the Steelers, Bam took me and set me up as a contributing writer. I can't thank him enough for that opportunity. Blogging, social media, and sports have really shaped my interests and career path and I'm not sure any of that would have happened if it hadn't been for Blitzburgh.

I'd also like to extend my enormous thanks to Derek and Dave from Bloguin for helping to seamlessly make this transition on the business side and helping me work out the kinks in everything I've been doing.

It's the start of a new era for Blitzburgh Blog this year. I'm very excited for the opportunity to make this blog my own and I hope all of you will stick around and enjoy it.
